"DR AJIBADE AS THE NBA PRESIDENT WOULD AFFECT THE BAR MOST POSITIVELY;" MY ENCOUNTER WITH A PASSIONATE SUPPORTER.

On Wednesday, 8 July 2020, d
uring my regular morning walk, I encountered a gentleman I had met only briefly.  Exchange of pleasantries quickly dissolved into a friendly chat on sundry topics, starting with NBA 2020 elections.

As we walked side by side each other, and chatted, I drew his attention to the urgent need to resuscitate the Bar (to which he agreed), and then gently asked to know his preferred candidate.  The response was encouraging:
“Ebby, I don’t know who your candidate is, but I prefer the gentleman called  Ajibade. Although he has not called nor told me about his candidacy, but his character and antecedents speak for him. Speaking specifically, at the international bar level, the commitment and diligence with which Ajibade executes committee projects are exemplary. Add this to his rich profile demonstrating a past illustrated by huge commitment to the Bar, to work and to core leadership values, I am convinced Dr Ajibade as the NBA President would affect the Bar most positively. Indeed, at this juncture, he no longer needs to call me because i have been campaigning vigorously for him. I pray he wins; The NBA would be the better for it”.
After listening keenly, I smiled quietly, and told him that we both were for the same candidate. I told him how joyful I was to be on the most dignified team.

Indeed, I feel so proud working for this team. As the passage of each day draws us closer to the elections days, signs keep emerging to strengthen my belief that Dr Ajibade is an idea whose time is now.

Let`s we can do better as an association.
