Very Rev. Professor Koyinsola Ajayi, SAN, Condemns Recent Shooting of Unarmed Protesters In Nigeria, Says Peaceful Protest Evangelical Struggle For A New Nigeria.

Very Revd. Professor Koyinsola Ajayi, SAN

Very respected clergyman, distinguished learned Professor and erudite Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Very Revd. Professor Koyinsola Ajayi, SAN, has condemned the recent shooting and killing of unarmed peaceful #EndSARS protesters in Nigeria. In a statement dated 21 October 2020, the professor of law wrote:

“Drenched in sorrow, we watched, with dismay, the inexplicable well-orchestrated premediated shooting of innocent Nigerians exercising their fundamental rights on #BlackTuesday.  The shooters, their masters, accomplices and agents, blind to our reality of technology, put of the light of peace to bring darkness of death. But the technology of Youth saw each of them – each of them filled with fear, intoxicated on abused power and clothed in brute force.

But the labor of the injured and fallen heroes of #EndSars will not be in vain, for  “when this is all over… the tyrant toppled, the killing at an end, all signs of these cruelties long gone, a new government of love will be established in the venerable David tradition. A Ruler you can depend upon will head this government, a Ruler passionate for justice, a Ruler quick to set things right.” Isaiah 16:4/5

Stand with the Youth whose future was being destroyed! Watch and pray, work and fight for #ABetterNigeria! Do not be afraid - as God repays the luddites for their deeds and for their evil work; repay them for what their hands have done and bring back on them what they deserve.  Because they have no regard for the deeds of the Lord, and what his hands have done, he will tear them down and never build them up again. Psalm 28: 4 & 5

As we mourn the dead, treat the injured, restore the dispossessed, fight to #EndSars, know the attackers are Nigerians no stronger than Goliath. So #StandYourGround! #CleansetheKillingFields we must! Claim our land and future #StopLooting #StopBurning – though #BadGovernance burnt the bridges and steal our patrimony.

The PROTEST is evangelism that will continue. It’s a gospel of peace; it’s a cry for justice; it’s a struggle for #ANewNigeria. The curfew will end, the protest will continue till the blood split is avenged.

Do not provoke the armed forces, do not attack them, do not confront them – speak peace, seek peace, be meek.

Professor Ajayi also prayed for Nigeria. Titled, A Prayer tor the Killing Fields: A Day to Remember,” he wrote as follows:

“#APrayer4KillingFields #20.10.20 #Aday2Remember

God do not remain silent, for the wicked and deceitful have opened their mouths against #EndSars peaceful protest; they have spoken against the Youth and #EndSars with lying tongues. With words of hatred they surround peace with killing men in and out of uniform; they attack #PeacefulProtest without cause; they orchestrated riots and premediated murder with live bullets. In return for true comradeship and patriotism they accuse #EndSars of breaking the curfew and shot at them like terrorists. They repay evil for good, and hatred for #Fight4Justice. Appoint someone evil to oppose the enemies of #BetterNigeria; let an accuser stand at the right hand of those who shot #EndImpunity with impunity. When the killers of 20.10.20 and before are tried, let him be found guilty, and may their prayers condemn them. May their days be few; may another take their place of leadership. May their children be fatherless and their spouses be widowed. May their children be wandering beggars; may they be driven from their ruined homes. May a creditor seize all they have; may strangers plunder the fruits of their labor. May no one extend kindness to them or take pity on their orphaned children. May their descendants be cut off, their names blotted out from the next generation. May the iniquity of their parents be remembered before the Lord; may the sin of their parents never be blotted out. May their sins always remain before the Lord, that they may blot out their names from the earth. For they never thought of doing a kindness, but hounded to death the #Struggle4Future, the Youth, the poor, the ill, the displaced; and the needy and the brokenhearted. They loved to pronounce a curse — may it come back on them. They found no pleasure in blessing for they killed and maimed wantonly — may blessings be far from them. They wore cursing and killing as their garment; it entered into their body like water, into their bones like oil. May it be like a cloak wrapped about them, like a belt tied forever around them – to haunt them forever. May this be the Lord’s payment to killers of the Youth, #EndBrutality, and accusers of the innocent crusaders.. While they curse, may you bless; may those who attack me be put to shame, but may your servant rejoice. May my accusers be clothed with disgrace and wrapped in shame as in a cloak.
